In the Dominican Republic I am involved in many different areas. My main area of work is La Vega Christian School. I began teaching there in August of 2011. I am also involved in a baseball ministry. There are a few baseball academies at the local stadium with around 100 players. I help lead and assist in short-term missions teams from the United States, and I help support Haitian schools. I am incredibly blessed with a wonderful group of supporters. It is a blessing to work for the Lord and to see lives being changed in His name.

Called to Missions

My name is Ryan Pauly and I was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Growing up in a Christian family was truly a blessing. I have two wonderful parents: Steve and Rose Pauly. They built into my life and taught me what it meant to be a follower of Christ. I also had the privilege of growing up with two older brothers: Brent and Chris. Brent is married to Erica and lives in Colorado. Chris is an officer in the Air Force and is based out of Nebraska. As I grew up I attended Christian schools and played many different sports. Baseball is my favorite sport; I played it for eighteen years. In my first semester of college I felt the Lord calling me into ministry. I transferred to Vanguard University in Southern California where I received my bachelor’s degree in Religion with an emphasis in youth ministry. After graduation I made the commitment to become a missionary in the Dominican Republic.

After serving as a missionary for one year I felt like I should extend my stay another year. Six months into my second year and after a lot of prayer, I have decided on a more long term committment. This is the place that God has called me and I will stay here until he tells me to go. I wouldn't choose any other life and the ways that I have seen God work have blown me away!
